We have had lots happening in school over the past few weeks. Cian & Kealan represented the school at a Duathlon in Athy, Kate won a medal with Navan Rugby, 5th class have started their 6 week cycle safety training programme, all classes are finishing up their dance lessons with Aine Farrelly of Elite Stage School and are going into the 3rd week of tennis lessons with Adam Gleeson.
Our garden is looking amazing thanks to our caretaker Mickey and the Garden Team and we had our Pride of Place inspection last week. We also have our outdoor chess and garden furniture thanks to funding from the Knockharley Community Fund
There was great excitement and huge enthusiasm as the entire school cheered on the FTD brothers as they passed the school during one of their 33 marathons in 33 days raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's Disease.
We had our annual school marathon last Monday which finished up with the last lap being ran by the eldest and youngest children in the school, Kevin, Liam & Luna. A sincere thanks to all of you who generously contributed to a total of €1500 profit.
Currently 4th -  6th classes are participating in the Cremin League featuring volleyball, soccer and rounders at lunchtimes and we still have our Bake Sale in aid of the Irish Cancer Society & Concern on Friday 22nd May, school tours and the Colour Run to look forward to -  it's a busy time of year!
