The Green Team were very excited to visit the Harp Renewables site today they had the opportunity to learn about the process of digesting food waste aerobically using bio-digesters and turning it into organic compost within 24 hours. It was a great experience for the children and added greatly to their understanding of the life cycle of food waste. It also links to the Global Citizenship Litter and Waste Green Flag that we are currently undertaking in the school.
