Yellow Furze NS celebrate 75 years.

17th Jun 2025

On Friday 13th June, Yellow Furze NS celebrated the 75th anniversary of our  school on the current site. Prior to 1950, the school was located on the grounds of the church and consisted of separate boys and girls schools. After the children and teachers moved to the new school, the building was used as a community hall for at least another 20 years prior to being demolished. The school as it is now was originally built in 1950, underwent a major refurbishment and extension in 2004 and two further extensions in 2008 and 2019.
6th class held a display in the school gym to mark the 75th anniversary with a look back through music, fashion and media and invited their parents and grandparents to view their work. They also had the opportunity to view a scale model of the original school side by side with the current school thanks to the 3D printing talents of our 6th class student Joshua.
